COVID-19 doesn’t need to put your goals on hold. Pursue your leadership and career ambitions along with your caring role at home.
Accelerate your career progression while supporting your work/life integration with this practical and impactful 8-week group professional development programme.
The next “Empower Your Future’ programme begins on Thursday 27th May 2021.
Spaces are limited to a minimum of 8 and maximum of 20 people.
The Empower Your Future Professional Development Programme is a time and cost-effective way to define your goals, overcome your limiting beliefs and pursue professional and caring roles with greater confidence and conviction.
Studies show that women have absorbed over two-thirds of the additional responsibilities due to COVID-19. Mothers with young children have reduced their work hours four to five times more than fathers. Consequently, the gender gap in work hours has grown by 20–50 per cent. These findings highlight the added challenges of the pandemic on women’s work hours and employment. COVID-19 has exacerbated many pre-existing challenges for women - with or without children.
Overcoming these challenges to empower your future requires deliberate steps and action.
After completing the programme, you will:
- Improve your self-confidence and ability to define goals at home and work with a clear action plan
- Overcome imposter syndrome, have courageous conversations, network and better mentor others
- Network with and learn from professionals in other companies with similar challenges in a safe and supportive space
Define and articulate what drives you at home & work. Also identify where you would like improvements and define concrete, manageable next steps.
Set professional & development goals to advance your ambitions. Learn how to reframe and adopt perspectives that serve, instead of limit, you.
THE ART OF GIVING & RECEIVING FEEDBACK
Learn how to effectively have courageous conversations, and how to give and receive powerful feedback.
ELEVATOR PITCH AND OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME

'Fail to plan, plan to fail'
Too many women have felt the right opportunity at work would come to them eventually... and then wonder if they can ever manage both their career and caring roles. Without clear goal setting and planning, the right job or promotion can just pass by and go to the most visible and vocal candidate.
Let's be realistic, we cannot have it all
How many times have you heard and felt that you have to choose in between your career and caring role? How many times have you experienced guilt to consider a higher level role when thinking of the perceived impact on your home and family?
Could your self doubt be taking up too much space in your head? Let us help you change that inner monologue to be more supportive and productive.
Take charge of your work-life balance!
Focus on your career progression, without the risk of overwhelm and jeopardising your work/life balance. You owe it to yourself, your family and your organisation. Create the space at work to be the kind of parent or carer that you want to be.
Here's what previous participants are saying:
“I found it really thought-provoking, it quickly boils down to the priorities and it got me into action.”
"Throughout the exercises and the group work, what crystalised for me was how much I loved working in specific environments, it focused my attention...."
"This programme was helpful to really focus on my self-development. Somewhere down the line, I forgot about my own dreams and goals, so it pushed me to realise to be kind to myself."
" I now have the tools and strategy to prioritize my goals and feel prepared to remain in control of any situation."
