Overview

Spotlight on a management training focused on removing unconscious bias from the recruitment and interview process, and hiring decisions.

CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear Research and through its established Diversity programme, it aims to appreciate differences, foster equality and promote collaboration in the workplace.

In 2013, CERN invited Thriving Talent to develop a DEI training programme to change the way they managed the interview process. Six years later, over 400 people have been trained. This has resulted in building much-needed awareness of the unconscious biases that can cloud objectivity during the recruitment process, and has been instrumental in driving CERN’s inclusion and diversity strategy and efforts.
